Music therapy is a research-based profession where music is used to actively support people to
improve their health, functioning and wellbeing.
How does music therapy work?
Music is engaging. When you hear music that you like, you instinctively tune in – tapping along to the beat, humming or singing the melody.
Music fires up your brain. When you actively participate in music many parts of your brain are activated simultaneously.
Music is a language. Through music, you can express yourself and understand others in a way that needs no words.
Music is fun. The elements of music combined with its structure and repetition make practising new skills a joy.
Our programs are designed by Registered Music Therapists to motivate and support you as you work towards your chosen goals.
